Wow, it's been quite a while since my last post.  I injured my foot back in mid-March, which interrupted my training and left me with no workouts to include in my weekly reports.  That created negative momentum which ultimately led me to miss several months of blogging.

My family at the Columbia Downtown Triathlon

Since my injury, I've completed the Columbia Downtown Triathlon (during which my foot was still recovering), the Lake Murray Triathlon, and the 65-mile circuit of the Tour de Cure.    Next up is the Tom Hoskins Memorial Triathlon on July 28.  Two years ago, I completed my first triathlon in the first running of this event.  This year, my wife is running the race with me.  I am very excited about the fact that she will soon be The Triathlete Mom!

This week, I begin preparing for my main event of 2012: the ESi Ironman 70.3 Augusta.  The race takes place on September 30, which is exactly twelve weeks from today.  I will be following the Half Ironman Performance program from The Twelve-Week Triathlete.  It starts with a 4-mile run tomorrow afternoon.  Wish me luck!
